When it comes to fashion, and especially adventurous designer fashion that sets the stage for the season ahead, exhibition organisers focus not only on their key home country offerings, but also on the international labels that can benefit from the partnership and, of course, the discerning audience.
Rome Fashion Week, regarded as a leader in the show arena, is already in conversation with many of fashion’s finest names, as it plans content and reach for its next edition, in May 2025.
And what better a place than Rome to introduce those vibrant new collections? Unquestionably Italy’s centre of culture, history, heritage and modern-day style, it is the city where those searching to buy the best know they will find it.
And they will visit from afar to discover the names that make a statement… and will benefit their business.
Sales Manager of Rome Fashion Week Elena Colonna herself travels extensively to experience what other countries and specific show organisers have to offer their target audience: “The more you see, the more reactions you can gauge and the more you can decide to introduce into your own event,” she says.
At New York’s Bridal Fashion Week, for example, held earlier this month in the Big Apple, it was the business and networking opportunities and special features that included workshops, advisory sessions and catwalk shows that impressed… and were welcomed by exhibitors and visitors alike.
Elena is looking to incorporate some of the most innovative concepts into her plan for the Rome show. “One has, always, to be aware of the value of broadening the appeal of an event, especially when it comes to our Rome show, which is the chosen platform of some of the biggest names in the business; it is where Italy’s key players, especially those in the grand occasionwear sector, will assemble 24-26 May.
